A Court of Thorns and Roses Book Summary

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas Book

The story starts with a huntress named Feyre. The young girl is the sole breadwinner of her family. One day, she was stalking a deer in order to feed her starving family. While stalking, Feyre soon found herself hunting near the wood, a borderland between humans and Prythians, the place for fairies. But in her desperation to feed her family, she crossed the border.

Soon, something strange caught her eyes: a giant wolf with suspicious eyes. Her Instant thoughts were the wolf might be a fairy. But because of her wrath and anger towards fairies, she thinks all her human suffering is because of fairies. She shoots Ash wood Aarrow( Poisonous to fairies) at the wolf, and the wolf loses his life. After the wolf dies, Feyre takes the skin of the wolf to the home and sells it to the market. This incident is the turing point in the life of Feyre and an inciting incident of the story.

Next night, when the family is in their daily life, the door is broken, and a giant growling beast is there looking pissed. He is inquiring about who killed the wolf, who was a fairy. Feyre has no choice but to accept her deeds. Beast, Tamlin gives her two options: either die in exchange for life or spend the rest of her life in prison. From the fear of dying, Ferye agrees to go with Tamlin. There was already a white horse waiting for her outside. As she rides, she ends up waking up in the spring court. She got new clothes and food and went to a party with Tamlin.

The story takes a plot twist when Tamlin starts treating Ferye gracefully, even though she killed his fairy friend. Initially, she didn't trust him, but as soon as they spent some time together, she started trusting Tamlin.

As the story unfolds, we get into the chilling curse that envelops the Tamlin's court orchestrated by wicked Amarantha. The curse can only be overcome if Farah can finish her three nearly impossible tasks, which are her test of love, physical and emotional strength.

The plot thickens when Feyre strikes a high-risk bargain with lord Rhysand. His covert motives remain challenging for Farye and force her to challenge her beliefs and deepest desires. She has to go for a series of deadly tasks; treacherous landscapes, enigmatic riddles, and mythical creatures stand in her way. Each challenge reveals her hidden powers and her resilience. The first challenge of Feyre proves her Zeal as a huntress as she survives a giant worm. Next task is the test of her intellect when Amarantha wants to kill her. The final task acts as the climax of the story. Feyre faces a battle with Amarantha and gets brutally killed by her. In turn, saving the fairyland and getting all the fairy's curses free, Tamlin kills Amarantha out of rage over Feyre's death.

Analysis

The story of Ferye is an example of true human love hidden in the core of the heart. Even though Ferye initially looks ungrateful, her love for Tamlin slowly changes her life course and her heart. How she bravely fought the Amarantha even though it was life-threatening for her. Feyre successfully completed her tests and sent the message of love, sacrifice, and selflessness to the readers. At last, the ferye got the gift of healing and life from six high lords, showing how love wins eventually. In short, Author Sara J.
