A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens Book

​Characters

Lucie Manette:- She is the main character of the story, she is a beautiful young woman.

Doctor Manette:- Father of Lucie, he has an unhappy life he spent approximately two decades in prison for something he didn't do.

Charles Darnay:- He is a French accused of being a Spy.Sydney Carton:- Looks like Darnay although he is a lawyer.

Defarge:- Nasty woman spend their time planning how she can hurt the people she hate.

"A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dicken deals with the historical Facts about the French Revolution.

​Through this novel Poet Enlighten the problems of injustice in society, This story deals with the story of two cities which is London and Paris.

At the end of the 18th century, France and England were suffering from different social illnesses,

​The novel starts with Jerry Cruncher who was an employee in Tellson's Bank and sends a message to the Lorry to meet a woman named Lucie Manette. After that Lucie and Lorry went to Paris and met with Defarge, a servant of her father, she observed that her father after spending two decades in prison became a crazy person he was always busy making shoes.

​A few years later Charles Darnay accured that he has committed Treason against the English king but his drunk Colleague Carton saves him from the court. The the same time a new character enters - Darnay's uncle the cruel Marquis Euremande,

Darnay once he arrives states his intention to give up his identity as an Euremande and to return to England. A few years later both Darney and Carton fall in love with Lucie but Lucie agrees to marry Darnay and Darnay promises her father that when they get married, he will reveal his identity. On the wedding morning Darnay keeps the promise he gave to Life's father and the following evening Manette starts making shoes again.

​After some days Manette returns to his common sense. After he returns from the honeymoon Darnay is confronted by Carton who asks for his friendship. A few years later the French Revolution started and Aristocrats ( rich people)​are killed by the revolutionaries and a man named Gabelle who was in charge of Euremande taken to prison after two years he asks Darnay for his help and Darnay decides to rescue him. But Darnay was arrested in Paris by revolutionaries.

​Lucie's father saved Darnay but his freedom is only for a night again he was arrested. Now Carton arrives in Paris to rescue Darnay but Defarge produces a letter that he discovered in Marette's old jail the letter explains the cause of Manette's Imprisonment. A few year's ago Euremande ( Darnay's father and uncle ) raped a woman and killed her: Manette the father of Lucie knows everything so fearing that Manette might report their misdeeds, the Euremandes had him arrested. After the Jury claims Darnay is in prison for the crime of his ancestors and to die within 24 hours. That night Defarge planned to kill Lucie and her daughter because the woman killed and raped by Euremande was a sibling of Dafarge. After hearing the cartan makes a plan for the immediate departure with Dr. Manette, Lucie, and her daughter from France. Defarge arrives at Lucie's apartment and an argument begins between Defarge and Miss Defarge, Miss Defarage dies from the bullet of her gun.

Carton meets his death with the knowledge that he has finally ended his life with meaning...​
